Oh wait! Don't go! Wait! Wait for me!

Oh good! I caught you! I need to make sure you guys see this! :la:

Well! I've decided that I'm going to do another contest! My second one. I had so much fun with my previous contest that I've been thinking so much about it to see what I can do! And I think I've finally decided on something.

This is going to be a contest with a very large time limit, but with nice prizes! There are two contests that you can participate in, with two separate prompts.

PROMPT ONE: THE PROTECTOR

There’s nothing more comforting knowing that there is someone that would lay down their lives to protect you, your rights, emotions, and feelings. A mother will protect her child, a soldier would protect his country, and a political hero would lay down their life to ensure citizens are guaranteed their human rights. Protectors are not necessarily literal, physical beings, but in times are often spiritual, religious, and even metaphysical in nature.

My personal favorite protector is Bioshock’s Big Daddy.  At the height of morality he doesn't choose to fight you, but only when provoked or threatening a precious Little Sister is when he chooses to fight.

Anyway! The contest is simple. Create a protector or highlight an already existing protector, even about one in your life, or you! If you choose a fictional protector, it must be original.

PROMPT TWO: A NIGHTMARE, REVISITED

There’s nothing more horrifying than being stuck in a horror and then having to experience the horror again. It explains all the crappy sequels that appear in the theatres (and the horrors that occur whenever we are stupid enough to continue paying to see them!)

The contest is equally as simple. Create a horror, revisited; a nightmare, relived. It does not have to be a sequel. And, as long as properly credited, the nightmare doesn’t have to be completely original. For example: revisited creepy pastas, alternative stories, fan fictions, et cetera. It doesn't even need to be in the horror genre, whatever you might consider a nightmare counts!

NOTE: Due to the recent changes of my school schedule involving several independent research projects and my senior year of college, I will have to delay the due date to a time that is reasonable for me! :star: You are welcome to edit and work on the piece as much as you would like!

Well, looks like I had only enough brain power for the nightmare prompt, but not for the protector prompt... :(  Ah well, another time! :)

Good luck everyone!
